Always wipe in the direction of the wood grain. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as this may damage the finish.Avoid placing wet items directly on to the surface. Use coasters and mats for protection. Clean up spills immediately to prevent damage from liquids or staining. Soak up spills with a dry paper cloth, wipe with a damp lint free cloth and dry immediately. Take care not to expose your furniture to strong or direct sunlight. Excessive sunlight can cause fading. Extreme heat and humidity changes can cause cracking and splitting. Take care not to place rubber or plastic materials on to the wood finish as chemicals within rubber and plastic can react with the finish if left in contact for a long period.
